Meetings, Meetings, and Meetings. Industry insights, product and feature overviews.

Engineering department overview: Low test coverage, no CI/CD, heavy QA involvement.

Proposing moving form a monthly release cadence to a bi-weekly.

I forgot how it is to have meetings and calls.

More ramping up on the industry, the company, the product, the tech stack, talking to various internal and external stakeholders.

And to the team.

This time investment needs to be made in order to create and establish great working relationships

It’s the nature of the the role as Head of Engineering, even more as you’re settling into the role.

First full week done. Tonight and the weekend will be all about diving into the code, especially around our AI/LLM setup
